Fundraising Goals:

The Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon in 2023 was held to celebrate and honour local women, but also to to fundraise for scholarships and donations to enhance opportunities for young women to succeed in their chosen path. Each year the funds raised will stay within the community to support and uplift causes of women and youth.

Scholarship Awards:

At the Women of Distinction Awards event on May 2nd, the winner of the Young Visionary award will also receive a $2,000 scholarship to pursue their future goals. The remaining nominees in the Young Visionary category will also receive a scholarship, determined by the number of nominees in the category. 

​

The Young Visionary Award winner 20024 will receive the scholarship funds at the Awards Night of her high school in the spring. 

Criteria for the Young Visionary award: 

​

o   This individual under the age of 20 sets an example for others through their efforts and achievements in academics, athletics, volunteerism, or community building.
